recipe-create-presentation
Create a Google Slides presentation and, only when separately approved, grant one explicit collaborator permission.
googleworkspace/cliskills/recipe-create-presentation/SKILL.md
Before you use it
- Input
- A presentation title, intended initial content, the authenticated Workspace context and an exact recipient, role and sharing decision if collaboration is requested.
- Expected output
- The recipe shows a newly created presentation identifier and an optional Drive permission result; it does not show a command that adds slide content.
- Prerequisites
- The pinned recipe requires the gws binary and gws-slides skill. Its repository README describes Google Cloud and OAuth setup, multiple installation routes and external service writes, and says the project is not an officially supported Google product. No CLI, account, presentation or permission was used here.
Setup evidence needs rechecking under the 30-day directory review window. Source navigation remains available.
Publisher documentation, static file observations and environment tests are different kinds of evidence. Runtime behavior has not been observed.
Use this method
Source-based preparation, not an installation or a completed run. Nothing is executed here.
- Good fit for
- A controlled Google Slides creation task where the required CLI, account and OAuth context are already available and sharing can be reviewed separately.
- Not for / limits
- Not a complete deck-authoring workflow: the pinned recipe does not show a command that adds slide content, so it is not proof that initial slides were added. Setup can require a Cloud project and OAuth scopes; the repository is not an officially supported Google product, and no runtime compatibility or account access was tested.
- Prepare
- Confirm the title and intended slide content, then verify the gws installation, gws-slides availability and authenticated Google Workspace account without reusing placeholder recipients.
- Apply
- Create the presentation and inspect the returned identifier before any sharing action. Treat adding actual slide content as a separate missing step because the pinned recipe does not show that command.
- Check
- Only after explicit approval, grant the exact recipient and role, then verify the permission result and record that the operation changed an external Google service.

Study the method
Trace the separation between creating a presentation and sharing it. The description mentions initial slides, but the displayed steps contain only create and permission commands, so missing slide-content work must remain explicit.
